Flash not installed

On a computer without the Flash player installed the Basic Player just sits at the 'Please wait...' page.  This is despite the SCORM module's initial page having the code which detects the lack of Flash and takes the user to adobe to download.

I haven't investigated but I assume that the 'Please wait...' page is shown until some message comes from the SCORM initial page (LMSInitialize ???) but this message never comes because the initial page has redirected to the Adobe 'download flash' page.

Has anyone run in to this?  Does anyone have a solution?

I am not using the full SLK, just the Basic Player inside my own LMS.

This sounds like a content issue. Also, I would not try directing the user to page outside of the content within the scorm window. It would be best to make these checks a priori to launching the content.

All of my learning content is in flash and I had the same issue.  I am now performing the check in the html page that hosts the flash content.  As abradford states though, it is not good practice, so I will be building in a client side check for Flash before allowing the modules to be launched.
