I have installed SLK-1.5.2-2010 properly and made it work. Then I decided to add polish language pack. Using the instructions from the latest source code package, I created the language pack. I also have modified script files to point to my sharepoint installation
(12 -> 14, spadmin -> spadminv4). When I try to add language pack solution, I'm getting following message:
This solution contains one or more assemblies targeted for the global assembly cache. You should use a strong name for any assembly that will be in the global assembly cache.
So that didn't work. I made another attempt, which worked partially. I downloaded sources for SLK 1.5 and then followed steps from this blog: http://blog.dabasinskas.net/compiling-and-localizing-sharepoint-learning-kit-for-sharepoint-2010 - I successfully
added and deployed language pack and uploaded SlkSetings.xml, but unfortunately I found only Assignments WebPart messages translated (of course I switched to polish language in my site).
In logs I found some interesting content:
09/20/2011 11:37:33.41 b9y9 High Failed to read resource file "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\Resources\SLK.pl-PL.resx" from feature id "(null)".
09/20/2011 11:37:33.41 8e26 Medium Failed to open the language resource keyfile SLK. e27f7636-fa7e-4a56-863d-732d86967825
Any ideas what is wrong or what I'm doing wrong?
Doing sn -Vr on dll's after generating language pack (most recent source), gives eg:
Microsoft.LearningComponents.SharePoint.resources.dll does not represent a strongly named assembly
