Hi,

Looking around the net for solutions I find this question asked alot, but I haven't found the answer yet so I will ask again here.  I'm attempting to install SLK on Small Business Server 2008 Sharepoint v3, all up-to-date.  I get the expected "can't connect to database' or create the new database when running the SLK configuration in SHarepoint Administration using the connection machine\microsoft##ssee.  I go to SQL surface configurator to allow remote connections and find that-

> I can't add the domain admin to the internal database administrators using the 'add new administrator' tool  There is a failure to connect to database.

> If I change the remote connection settings for the internal database they do not stay changed.

Yes, I am using "run as" when opening the Surface area tools, as well as the Management Studio.

What should the connection string be for SQL 2005 Express on SBS 2008 be?

Thanks for any help or links to SQL solutions.

Not sure and I haven't got a copy of SBS 2008 to play with.

You could just install another version of SQL Express and use that.
