Disable over writing of Final Grade (Score)

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but is there a way to disable the functionality of the SLK instructor to over-write a student's score?

For example, when a student scores a 60%, the instructor has the ability to over-write and give 100 or whatever score. This has been brought up as a possible audit issue.

I found a work-around was to assign the class with the auto-return to student.

Can anyone provide a way to disable the ability for an instructor from over writing the student's grades? This is still an issue for auditing purposes.

Just a quick idea; Why not simply ignore Final Score? You could choose to make your reports based on Graded Score and just forget about Final Score. They are stored as 2 seperate values in SQL, so if an instructor enters a Final Score of 100 it doesn't affect Graded Score.

In essense the "Students Score" is Graded Score which is from the SCORM package. While Final Score is actually the score assessed by the instructor. Keep in mind that not all kinds of questions count towards the Graded Score.

Edit: Graded Store is saved in: dbo.AttemptItem.TotalPoints
Final Score is saved in: dbo.LearnerAssignmentItem.FinalPoints
