I’ve installed a standalone (albeit domain joined) Server 08R2 with SP2010 foundation, Office web apps 2010 and SLK 1.7.
I have done it all as per the installation instructions ( I think) my teacher AD account is a member of "SLK instructors" my learner account is in "SLK learners". I can upload a Word (docx) document to a library then choose to assign to
site or use elearning actions, the student account sees it in the assignents webpart and can click on it to open
The problem comes when we click "begin assignment", we get "access denied, you are currently signed in as xxx (the test AD student account) click here to sign in as someone else".
If I click on the same file from the document library (which in my testing I have changed from read to contribute) I can open and edit in Word Office Web app within the browser without any errors.
Incidentally, from SP Config Manager, if I leave the setting in the xml file as false for opening webapps, ( <DropBoxSettings UseOfficeWebApps="true" />) then when I try to begin the assignment it says: "the document cannot be opened for
editing a SharePoint foundation compatible application could not be found to edit the document."
Any pointers would be appreciated muchly!
