environment:
MS Sharepoint server 2007 on a windows server 2003 64bit machine, virtualized under Hyper V, and using SQL Server 2008 Express.
I installed SLK 1.3.1
everything went ok, the only thing that doesn't work is assignments.webpart
i simply cannot get it to work. i searched the discussions here and the web, tried different things already, including that tool that salamandersoft wrote.. i added the safecontrol assembly to the web.config file and all... i'm getting desperate now.
if i go to site features, i see that it is there, but when i click on "all assignments" for example i get an error. i cannot seem to be able to add it to my starting page... (i have a second elearning server running, with slk 1.3.0 and there assignments.webpart shows up just fine.).

in event viewer i get this :

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Windows SharePoint Services 3
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date:  20/02/2009

do you need more info from me?
i'm not a developer, not a sharepoint specialist, just a system engineer trying to install SLK on sharepoint for a test so that management can see if sharepoint is something they could use or not...

thanks a lot!

ok nevermind.. it's solved.. i was too fast i guess.. did this :(as found in another discussion here) :

1. find the folder /wwwroot/wss/80
2. in that folder ,find 'web.config' , and open it
3.find
<pages enableSessionState="false"...
 change to
<pages enableSessionState="true"...

look for
<<--!add name="Session" type="System.Web.SessionState.SessionStateModule" />-->
change to
<add name="Session" type="System.Web.SessionState.SessionStateModule" />
4.save

thanks anyway
