Configure SLK

Mar 23, 2009 at 2:10 PM
First off, a big hello!

Right i am trying to install the SLK and have hit a bump in the road,  i can't get past the DB setup (i suspect that i have missed a discussion so appologies if i have).  I have MOSS 2007 and SLK sitting on one server sitting on server2003and a server2008 with MSSQL 2008 running on it.  I have googled and tried to search here,  i can find problems close to what i am experiencing but on SQL Express on the same server.  the crazy thing is the account it is attempting to use is the same one that sharepoint uses to control all DB functions for the MOSS system.

in the Central Administration i get:

Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'domain account used to access SQL DB's'.

More information has been written to the server event log.

It sounds like the default database for that domain user no longer exists. Try logging onto Sql Server and changing the login's default database.
