OK,

I got SLK installed and it appears to be working though there are some bugs. Next, my product owner now wants some changes to the GUI and add additional functionality. My question is what is the best way to extend SLK without breaking things when it comes time to upgrade or at least find some way to handle upgrades. I like to know what I should not do. I notice that there is a post from Richard indicating that we should not mess with the schema by adding stuff like a column.

Question: for folks using SLK, do you check in the source code downloaded from complex and then check out files to be modified?

Hi Paul,

Honestly, I don't know of any best practices for extending SLK. Best bet is to contact me directly to see if what you are doing can be pulled back into the main branch.
