SLK UserItem table - Key column

Hi there,

I am creating Forms based authenticated users and adding them to 'SLK Learner' group programatically. While creating SPUser, the SID field is coming as empty(for FBA), which in turn stored in SLK-UserItem table 'Key' column as blank.

I understand for FBA users the Login Name will be the SID, but my doubt is whether the UserItem table needs to be updated with the login name manually? Let me know the way how to achieve it.

Thanks

The SID column is the SID of the Active Directory object. The key column is:
  1. The SID for active directory logins.
  2. The user login name otherwise. If claims based AD auth, then the claims bit is removed to just leave the NT login name.
So in your case the Key should be the user login name.

Look at SLKStore.AssignUserItemIdentifier to see how SLK saves a user item.
