How does SLK load content for learners?

May 11, 2009 at 5:58 PM

I should probably hunt a little more for answers, but figured I would ask here first...

We have some largeish packages (50-100mb) and had some external users complain about speed and performance running assignments.  My question is how is SLK programmed to load this content?  Does it load the entire package before it displays to the user, or does it stream the package loading as the user goes?

Hi,

I've just written a blog post to answer this. http://blog.salamandersoft.co.uk/2009/05/28/HowIsELearningContentSentToTheUserInSLK.aspx

It's going to depend on whether the content is cached and how the package itself is structured.
