UserItem Table Name Field

Hey me again,

I was wondering if there is any simple way of logging the users account name in the UserItem table instead of the users preferred name?

we have set up our AD to have unique account name by using a numbering system, however we do have a number of users with the same preferred name.  The SLK seems to utilise the preferred name when it populates the above table.

Is there a simple work around or fix for me to get around this issue I am having?

SLK uses the standard SharePoint way of adding users which is to use the Display Name as the user's name in SharePoint. If you update your user's display names to match their account name or make them blank, then it will use the account name for new users.

After further investigation I discovered that the SID of the active directory is stored in the UserItem table this is unique GUID for users in the AD.  If need be I shall utilise this to gain the unique user.  Many thanks for your reply.
