SharePoint Learning Kit 1.5.2

Jul 31, 2011 at 11:52 AM

I've just released SharePoint Learning Kit 1.5.2. This is a bug fix release and contains fixes for:

  • Configuration Link in Central Administration for SharePoint 2007
  • Enumerating Domain Groups

This is now the recommended stable release. You can download from the 1.5 release page.

All new fixes will now go into SharePoint Learning Kit 1.6.

Hello Richard,

I have been able to install the SLK 1.5 release and work with it, NP. My issue is that I need to modify the code for specifics to integrating the SLK with an ASP.NET application. I have the source code from SLK_c004d4ecb409 but I'm on an expedited learning curve with Sharepoint. I can create web parts and deploy to my SPSite using VS2010 but as I see it, the Source Code was provided in an earlier version of VS and I'm just not sure how to modify pages and deploy the modified SLK. I'm considering creating a new SP 2010 project and import the code but short of this, there must be something I'm missing. Can you provide any guidance.

Thank you.

You should be able to open the csproj files in Visual Studio. The project was originally created in an earlier version of Visual Studio, but I doubt that any SharePoint project template was used. To see how the parts fit together with SharePoint, the best way is probably to look at the wsp creation files under Slk\Solution.
