CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'.

Im getting this error when trying to create the SLK database, im trying to create the database on a separate sql server and getting this error.  Ive tried a few of the other solutions offered by other people in different discussions but they dont seem to work.

benh,  The CreateDatabase.bat file that is with the Sample BasicWebPlayer runs the sql script in the file Schema.sql.  The Schema.sql script raises an error if you don't modify it to tell the script which database to use.  This prevents people from writing the SLK database objects into their Master database ( a good thing).  To resolve this, open the Schema.sql in any text editor and insert a USE statement for the Training database prior to the conditional statement that raises the error if the default Master database is the current database.

For example:

Use Training

IF DB_NAME()='master'
    RAISERROR(N'Unable to execute script on master database, USE a database before running this script',16,1)

Then run the bat file.

Hope this helps

I am also having the same one when I try to point the SLK to a new DB on the "Configure SLK" in Sharepoint Central administration.

Can't seem to understand how is Sample basic webplayer connected with SLK.  Is this a separate webpart that needs to be installed outside the SLK package?
