Hi all,

Just a quick question, hopefully you can provide an easy answer. I have installed the 1.0.799 version of SLK, with WSS 3.0 and SQL Server 2005 Express (using the Getting Started instructions, just for a proof of concept test), but I have run into the following error when trying to configure the SLK:

CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'.
More information has been written into the server event log.

And from the server error log:

SharePoint Learning Kit Error

at Microsoft.SharePointLearningKit.AdminPages.ConfigurePage.BtnOk_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

I just need to know how to add the permission so that SLK can create the database. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem and found out it was the name of the database when you run the SLK wizard. I found that I had to put the name of the server and then OFFICESERVERS as the database name. I.E.
TESTSERVER\OFFICESERVERS. I was using the trial version of SQL 2005. Hope this helps.

Thanks this was driving me crazy, but seems so obvious now :)

I used SQL server express.
